Behind Enemy Lines
DFG screening at The FleaPit
7.30pm
(£4 entrance)
Olly Lambert's latest film, made for BBC's One Life, visits the men of the RAF 27 Squadron in Hampshire during their two-month deployment as chinook helicopter pilots in Afghanistan.
In this highly compelling film, we meet Dan, a newly qualified combat-ready pilot on his first deployment to the front line.
Through him we experience the reality of modern warfare: from the surreal world of Burger King and Starbucks on the Kandahar airfield to the full horrors of war.
Lambert enjoys unparalleled access to, and creates a fascinating and
deeply moving portrait of life on the front line.
Join us afterwards for a very special Q&A;:
Not only will Olly Lambert be in attendance but we're hoping that he will also be bringing Dan, the film's central contributor to talk about the issues raised by Behind Enemy Lines.
